We almost always begin our days onboard with breakfast in our cabin. Usually coffee and pastries, sometimes English muffins and yogurt.

After this breakfast we headed to the Cove for a mandatory safety presentation on all things Zodiac. If you intend to take a zodiac excursion at any time during the cruise you must attend. Boris gave an informative talk and then we all headed down to the Mud room to try on our boots and life vests.

This is Eva helping Tim figure it all out

Another wonderful lunch, and then we were off on our first zodiac excursion. Our first and actually the first ever zodiac excursion from Endeavor. Don’t believe me? Well then click on the video and you’ll hear it right from our super star guide Steve.

We were delighted to learn that Steve is married to another very special guide: Casey.

Here’s Timmy with two of the most charming people we’ve met during our travels. Elsa and Lynda.

Yes, it was windy and cold. I was very glad to have worn both layers in my jacket and my waterproof pants. Our first excursion was uneventful; we did see some seabirds…so there’s that. The scenery in Patreksfordur was lovely, our guide very informative and the company in our zodiac was super.

Still waiting for some sunshine

We tooled around in the fjord for about an hour. As we approached the ship, Steve took the time to allow for all on board to take cameos with Endeavor in the frame.

Back in the cabin, Alex was waiting with canapés…we stepped out onto the balcony and saw Steve enjoying a solitary spin around the ship.
