After another leisurely breakfast in the garden, we set off for the Museum of Fine Arts. The museum is a short walk from our hotel and is super cool. We enjoy museums and I especially enjoy contemporary art. Musee des Beaux-Arts is divided into six sections among five pavilions. We focused on decorative arts and modern design, international contemporary art, Quebec and Canadian art – including Inuit art. As always, I snapped tons of pics – along the streets and in the museum. We are both taken by the lack of pedestrians. I’m curious to see if more folks will be out and about on the weekend.

Kind of feels like karma that this little shop is in the same building as our hotel.
Ten trivia points if you can name this Montreal native.

I said ”Hey, Timmy go on over there by my new friend and let me snap your pic”

The title is ”Knitting Chair”
This guy captured my fancy
Still working on our selfie game…as we say in Yoga ”its a practice…not perfection”
See what I did here?

So today’s climate is near perfect for us-low 80’s with 54% humidity…and yet both at breakfast and chatting with folks in the museum … to a person- everyone remarked on the ”heat”. We kept saying ”Heat? What heat? We’re from Florida…”

After a while we headed out to the sculpture garden. I parked Tim and took some more photos. We then strolled a few blocks in search of an ATM and discovered that Montreal is hosting FANTASIA an International Film Festival from July 14 – August 3. We took a brochure with the film listings and venues …some of the films look so interesting. I’m hesitant to be in a crowded theatre…but at least one of the venues appears to be outside, so we shall see if we can make it happen.

♥️♥️♥️

Back at the hotel, we stopped at the Palm Court for a snack.

I’m now pool side updating this blog…thanks for following along.
