July 8,2026 Prince Rupert, B.C.

We woke to a steady rain and I snapped this pic from our balcony. After breakfast, Timmy declined to join me on a four minute walk to the Museum of Northern British Columbia.

.

I parked him in the Cove and set off …snapping pics while juggling my umbrella.

.

There’s a bench I could have parked him on.

The port is tiny…only one ship at a time and this is Crystal’s inaugural visit.

What a treat …such a lovely museum …beautifully curated…I highly recommend it.

I loved the weaving, masks and textiles.

This silk dragon robe introduced the story of Chinese immigrants who settled on British Columbia’s North Coast in the late 1800s, where many lived and worked alongside Indigenous peoples.

.

I loved every exhibit in this very cool museum.

Timmy had a request when I set out…he asked me to find him a small totem pole. The museum store did not have one, so I walked down towards some shops along the waterfront.

.

I walked in and out of many…well several …stores in search of a totem pole trinket. There are none to be had in Prince Rupert…I did find Stephanie, who is a local artist working in resin…she told me she gifted a clock to our Captain in recognition of Symphony’s first visit to the Port of Prince Rupert…she told me this after I purchased a sea horse ornament:

.

This photo really doesn’t do it justice …the bits of sand and sea shells are really pretty.

Back on board…I fetched Tim and we enjoyed lunch with a view in Marketplace.

While in the Cove Timmy took some photos of the band doing a sound check for the White Party.

.

After lunch I visited the near empty gym…enjoying the passing boats as I walked on the treadmill.

When we arrived at the Cove shortly after 7:00 …the joint was jumping’.

We enjoyed Moscow Mules and tiny tacos as we listened to Leandro. Did I mention that Leandro’s from Argentina?

Appetizers: Timmy had mixed greens with Lorenzo dressing and a small Monte Cristo sandwich. I chose warm asparagus and sea food salad.

For my entree I asked for a double portion of the duck breast appetizer and Tim chose spaghetti with bolognese sauce. Every bite was so yummy.

Yassine and John have been taking the best care of us 🩵

We were so lucky to find seats right behind the band. We settled in and enjoyed a few songs before the White Party began.

.

DJ Viviano had folks up and dancing …I believe he began “spinning the hits” at 8:30 …he was just wrapping up at 9:20 when we finished dinner. He is delightful and most charming.

A great party…I must say though, that we really miss the energy and talent that Anna Alonso brought to every White Party.

I snapped this photo upon our return to our room …shortly after 11:00 pm.

Another wonderful day in the books…I’m so glad that I “braved” the rain to visit that very cool museum…it has inspired me to learn more about Canada’s Indigenous people. Thanks for following along🩵🩵🩵
