We woke to fog and an eerie stillness…

You might think we were disappointed to see this weather…actually no.

.

We saw these folks leaving to fish…I am so grateful that we went yesterday.

I am doubly grateful that I had an appointment at the Spa…upon entering you soak your feet in some lovely salts and sip on herbal tea. The lounge area is warm and smells delicious.

I enjoyed three amazing treatments at the hands of Gerly…a Sugar Body Scrub, a Therapeutic Massage and finally a Facial. No better way to spend a foggy, misty day …it was heaven.

Upon returning to our cabin, Timmy and I spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and even spotted several eagles through the mist.

We do have fun with these mirror selfies.

At 7:30 pm we headed to dinner…greatly anticipating feasting on the Chinook that I caught yesterday.

Sesame Sourdough with garlic butter and our amuse featured Dungeness crab with a citrus sauce.

Sashimi from my fish with ponzu, citrus, and chili sauces and Dungeness crab. I have no words…it was so silky, beyond fresh and plated so beautifully.

And here we have the pièce de résistance.

Lucas saw me taking Tim’s photo and said I needed to be in the photo since I was the one who “killed” the fish …Timmy corrected him, saying that I caught the fish…someone else killed it. Perhaps a small distinction…

Geo and Lucas …two of the best people here at Sonora…they are greatly enhancing our experience.

Such a memorable meal…so delicious…baby squash, pearl onions, kale, tiny potatoes, artichokes – all cooked to perfection …and oh that salmon…pretty freaking spectacular.

Dessert? Dessert? Of course we had dessert…Timmy chose chocolate and raspberry ice cream, I had beignets and ice cream.
It is quite evident that we think Chef Jin is a superstar …we are so grateful that he took the fish I caught and created yet another wonderful dinner for us.
As if the day couldn’t get any better…we came upon this guy as we returned to our place. This video is 20 seconds long…20 seconds of delight.

This just might be my favorite photo of the week.

And here’s tonight’s last photo.
This place really is so beautiful…the wilderness…the wildlife…the peacefulness. Thanks for following along ♥️♥️♥️
