We had a float plane ride planned for this port…which is a tiny port (700 folks live here)…and our only tender port on this cruise. I booked the Crystal float plane excursion back in January after our private Misty Fjords helicopter tour was cancelled…cancelled back in January because the helicopter was having technical difficulties…okay? You really don’t think you can solve those issues before July? Anyway…I moved past the letdown and landed on the float plane excursion…sounded like fun and we love float planes…there’s something exciting about taking off and landing on the water. So you can imagine my disappointment when 2 nights ago we received a cancellation notice from Crystal Shorex…our float plane excursion was canceled due to technical difficulties…oh come on …really??? Anyway, it is what it is…we had a fun, relaxing day on board and I was able to successfully re-borrow my book on the Libby App.

First photos of the day from our balcony …I do miss having a port side cabin.

Breakfast with Mili in Trident, then I headed off to the gym for a bit.

We dined in Beef Bar for lunch…our first time this cruise.

Timmy ordered KFC…Kobe beef tallow fried chicken, I loved my Tuna in peanut sauce and we shared an Iconic pizza..with Parmesan and truffle cream…beyond delicious.

Back in our suite, I read and did a bit of research for our up coming trip to Evora Portugal in October. Finally some blue clouds…

Tim donned his guitar shirt because we were going to the Cove to listen to Alexandre Pivato…we love him so much.

John brought us some egg rolls and Aliya delivered a Mai Tai and Italicus Spritz.
When Alexandre concluded playing we set out for our 8:00 pm reservation at Osteria. Bruno and Renjith greeted us so warmly. Then as soon as we were seated, Marli presented us with a glass of Prosecco.

Tuna carpaccio with caviar and beluga sauce.

Burrata ravioli with a light seafood broth.

Branzino alla verbena
So I said to Timmy…”Till the day I die…this is what I’m choosing every time we dine in Osteria”. These three items…beyond delicious…so flavorful…cooked to perfection.

Timmy choose Cappuccino di seppie al nero to start…Cuttlefish with its ink and potato cream.

Timmy also had the ravioli…and then the Spaghetti with garlic, olive oil, chili pepper. Celery and a mini Bloody Mary. Also supper yummy.

Fizzy lemon sorbet…snap, crackle pop 🩵

Pistacchio gelato with blueberry and chocolate toppings.

This beautiful, sweet person is Hanna…I took her photo for our friend Gail who misses Hanna so much.
We left Osteria, after extensive goodbyes to Bruno and Ranjieth, deciding to skip the Galaxy and Avenue Saloon.
Some days on board are peaceful and quiet…interspersed with fabulous meals. Thanks for following along. 🩵🩵🩵

I hadn’t seen pictures of these Osteria dishes so far. Thank you for posting them. You have given me more ideas for my next Serenity cruise! “Only” 389 days to wait. 🙁
It’s a shame about the float plane trip. I have always wanted to fly in one, and my Crystal Misty Fjords float plane was cancelled for weather way back in 2002.

Nancy, we’ve been working our way through the menu…I think I’ll probably hit pause and certainly order these three items next time…that tuna with the caviar was beyond.
I’m happy you are still following along. Thank you🩵

We cruised earlier this year from Singapore to Incheon with Beate as future cruise salesperson on board…she is very good friends with our South African T/A Warren….please say hello for us….she was able to add our kids to part of our 31day cruise from San Diego to Tahiti 2027 …..since this leg goes to Easter island it was sold out but she pulled the rabbit out of the hat for us…
Enjoy your travel blog…hope one day to sail with you and Timmy
