We love returning to Malaga. On previous trips we visited the Castillo de Gibralfaro, the Alcazaba and Roman ruins, Central Market and also  hired a driver to visit surrounding towns.

This time we strolled around on a very quiet Sunday morning, enjoying the Christmas decorations and virtually empty streets. I was grateful for the coat we’d purchased in Valencia as the temperature was in the upper 50s and the wind was brisk.  The bright blue skies belie the actual weather conditions. Here are some photos I took along the way.

Another lovely bride…I suspect the groom was sent off to fetch her a cup of hot chocolate.

We throughly enjoy ruins wherever we find them. This seems to be especially true as we age.

We peeked down many streets as we made our way to the Picasso museum. As usual I took a ton of photos…here are two .

We were delighted to discover a joint exhibit

We enjoy modern art and appreciate the opportunity to be exposed to various media used by artists that we admire.

An absolutely wonderful surprise was discovering that the museum was built upon Roman ruins. The ruins were unearthed during construction and a decision was made to incorporate them into the museum’s basement.

By now we all know of Timmy’s love for the Living Statues. I found it fitting that he was dressed  appropriately for this fellow’s schtick .

I took this pic from the shuttle bus on our way back to the ship.

We popped into the Bistro for lunch.

Returning to our cabin,  I snapped these pics of the port.

I worked on recovering the lost blog photos, then I was off to the gym…Timmy napped.

Dinner was delicious as usual. Yummy appetizers.

Sweet potato curry for me.

Scallops with squid ink ravioli for my sweetheart.

Name this confection…because I cannot remember

British humor from Steve Stevens in the Galaxy Theatre had Timmy rolling.

We closed out the night in the Stardust with a really cool jive dance show.
