Tuesday, July 21 we enjoyed another great breakfast at the Borg, our bags were collected and we met the Crystal reps in the lobby for a short ride to the Grand Hotel.

Ready to roll
Our escorts

The Grand is the venue where Crystal arranged for all passengers to receive a Covid test prior to boarding. Test results took about 20 minutes…during which I ran a few worst case scenarios through my head. Negative wristbands attached, we joined about 15 fellow passengers for the 10 minute ride to our home for the next ten days.

We were through checkin in a flash and escorted to our cabin. Endeavor is an all-suite vessel that can accommodate 200 passengers. Our inaugural cruise carried 123 guests. Waiting in our cabin were our complimentary expedition jackets..but more importantly…the welcome Champagne.

After admiring our cabin and the enormous closet, we made our way to Waterside for lunch. Waterside is the main dining room on Crystal ships.

Tilmar, the head sommelier, came by to renew old acquaintances. When Tilmar jumped ship from Crystal Serenity to Endeavor he took on added responsibilities.

Lunch was super, Cobb salad and some sort of sandwich.

Rado magically appeared with my favorite ❤️

This is Alexander, our butler. He brought us breakfast each morning and canapés at 4 in the afternoon.

While exploring the ship we met up with Captain Larson and some of our favorite crew members from previous sailings on Serenity.

That’s Jay and Mila (sommeliers) and Sheila who attends to folks in both the Bistro and Umi Uma.

We spent the afternoon exploring the ship, attending the lifeboat drill and meeting with the expedition crew.

The library
Each passenger has a locker containing a life vest. We are also provided with boots to wear on the zodiacs.
No sunning on the deck while in Reykjavik
