This is the lounge adjacent to the bar in the Tyee Lodge.

We stopped my the Gear Shed and Kaydon gave us our life jackets for our Bay Cruise.

I think you know I love waterfalls.

But I love bears more ♥️

I was grateful for the warm life vest as we crossed the bay.

So many eagles…here’s one.

Dorian our Captain found our bear and took us on a wild ride…

Upon turning in our life jackets we ran into Robynne and I was able to get a proper photo with Timmy.

Cauliflower and Curry soup and a very yummy burger.

Lots of comings and goings on the dock …

We spent time enjoying our deck/balcony.

After lunch the day warmed up considerably …sitting on this balcony has been such a joy…the peace, the quiet, the eagles, the seals. Truly heaven.

The eagle show was super and then this little guy…walked by, almost unnoticed.

Our last walk to dinner…bittersweet…

I took many, many, many photos because the clouds were so beautifully reflected.

To be immersed in this beauty in the wilderness is everything.

This is Jared, one of Sonora’s Sommeliers…he’s charming and funny.

.

Our wine for our last evening was a 2017 Pfaff Pinot Gris Alsace Grand Cru from Maison Pfaff. This mature vintage was perfick with the rich chowder that Chef Jin created from our salmon catch.

Look at that chowder…beyond flavorful…

.

This amazing chowder was rivaled only by the beautiful evening.

This double chocolate cake included blackberry caramel, pink peppercorn ice cream, toasted meringue and cocoa bib tuile.

Dear Chef Jin, I don’t have the words to adequately thank you for the extraordinary culinary experiences you created for us. Your talent, kindness and passion made our stay unforgettable…we are so grateful ♥️♥️♥️

We stayed on the restaurants’ deck long past 10:00 …as we were leaving, Timmy said “Look at that ramp! It’s almost level with the dock!” I replied “Quick! Run over there and we can compare the photo from the other day when it took us three hours to climb the ramp”.

.

Obviously we prefer high tide.

I didn’t want the day to end, it was so wonderful…a bear! …and so many eagles! …and our last dinner with Geo and Lucas was very special. I failed to take photos…those two were so busy…the owner of Sonora and 12 friends were visiting for the weekend and the restaurant was hopping.

We really love this resort…the wilderness, the waterways…and especially the staff…the days have flown…next time we’ll stay for longer…7 days is just not long enough. We still have one more day left and can’t wait to see what it will bring. Thanks for following along 🐻🩵🦅🩵🐻
