Serenity November 15,2023

We arrived in the port of Cozumel shortly before 8:00 am. and having no plans…that became the plan. We began our day as I always want to…on our balcony with coffee and whatever.

This poor guy…just as he’s getting ready to butter his English muffin…I say: Hey Timmy let me take a breakfast pic.
So I cleaned myself up a bit for this breakfast photo op.
It quickly became warm in the strong Mexican sunshine…so we popped back into our suite…me to update this blog, and I guess that’s Timmy checking the market … we have had a few good weeks 😉
I went to the gym and Tim went to the Bistro and found the famed Portuguese tarts.
Wow…even the baristas are jumping the gun with the Christmas decorations.
The watercraft were zipping about when I returned to the suite … makes me so happy.
So the Coast Guard boat is roaring across the sea…and it appears that the yellow Ferry might be heading for a collision.
Disaster averted.
So lunch…one oyster, hearts of palm, grilled veg, and a salt stick ♥️…oh yeah, and an Espresso martini 😉
Hoisin glazed chicken thighs with book choy and rice for Timmy.
Once again, I’m not above virtue signaling…Timmy’s dessert choice? Double chocolate bread pudding…please note that I’m trying my best to model healthy eating…. whatever.
We are walking through the Cove and I’m taken by the Orchids…
Did I ever tell you that I’m a convicted orchid murderer?
Late afternoon the pilot boat arrives.
Leaving port #reflections
We’d already started on our canapés when …horror of horrors…it struck me that I haven’t taken any canapé pics on this cruise…
No sooner did we leave port, than a squall erupted..sending items flying…yikes!
Margaritas are the drink of the day

Here we have our wonderful cruise director, Raphael Derkson, warming up before a performance of The Crystal Showband & Friends. What a super show. I’ve said it many times, but it bears repeating…the entertainment on Crystal ships is beyond excellent…truly Vegas quality. And, unlike on Symphony, it appears we will occasionally be treated to a 6:00 pm show in the Stardust Club…in addition to the customary 9:30 show in the Galaxy Theater.

Karin Kovacova is a powerhouse.
Diego Peralta on Sax … Raphael…Cory, the band director on Trombone
.
Nadia enhancing our enjoyment.
Okay, so Giovanni Marzi blew us away with his chops on Aerosmith’s “Walk this Way” … I said to Timmy: “…are you freaking kidding me?” I could have listened to him play all night…we asked him after the show who his influences were…”Clapton” … of course!
And then there’s Allessandro Grazzini on bass…I have no words. Where do they find this talent?
…well actually, in this case, both of these superstars are from Italy.
So Much Fun
Oh yes, the new tradition…evening mirror photo…which we forgot to take before we left for the show…so we ran back to the room…please note …I moved the laundry bag IFKYK
Octopus for Tim…Escargot for moi.
I said: Timmy! Are you going to have a sneezing fit? Tim: No dear I’m just contemplating the Universe.
You do see why it’s so much fun going through life with this guy…it’s almost like it’s his mission to make me smile. Oh, wait…
Steve Bruner

We ended our evening with a most enjoyable comedic performance by Steve Bruner. We were laughing throughout his show.

Another wonderful day in the books. Thanks for following along. ♥️
