Summer 2025 …blink twice and it’s over. I’m just going to upload some photos, include a few captions and hope that I convey the essence of our summer.

So this is my best friend in all the world. We raised our kids together. Hard to believe it’s been #fiftyfiveyears. Lil lives in North Carolina and has a summer place upstate New York. We used to meet up every summer as she and Frank passed through on their way to the north country. But it’s been rough since Covid …five years between visits is too long. We spent a wonderful afternoon on my patio catching up and reminiscing. BFF♥️

These baby turkeys strolled right past me as I read on the patio.
…and this was a first! Geese! It seems that the golf course is working overtime to scare them off the fairways…so they hopped on over to our street😂

Lunch at the View in Oakdale is always a treat.
I’m always happiest when I’m near a body of water.
One day I fetched the girls for lunch at Funchos. Charlie came over to say hello. He’s the sweetest cat. Makes us miss Freddie and Fluffy. Fluffy died last June, and Freddie died this June. We loved them both so much. Fluffy was 16 years old …Freddie 15. We are lucky that the kids have Charlie and Stewie…and that both cats like us.

September found us back on the soccer field…Isabel playing for her Jr. High team.
One morning last week we woke to the loudest noise…lumberjacks in the trees! Long Island Lumberjacks have been working in our community all summer…doing a super job.
Our neighbors, Jason and John host many get togethers throughout the year. They are famous for their Friday Cocktail Hours…here we are at the last one of the summer.

And that’s sort of our summer in a nutshell. Timmy did spend Memorial Day in the hospital
…but he’s fine now…if you see us in the Crystal Cove…buy him a drink and he’ll tell you the whole story.
We are off on another adventure …heading for Barcelona in a few hours. We’d love for you to follow along.
