Today is turn around day…about 300 passengers disembarking and about 230 embarking…

…first pic of the day…

…today is also balcony cleaning day…when all the balcony dividers are open and you can see from bow to stern without leaning over the railing. We had pastries in our room then set out on an almost 45 minute trek to travel appropriately 7.5 minutes…well maybe 12 minutes. Anyway….
So when going ashore …you first board a Crystal provided shuttle to the Cruise terminal, along with disembarking passengers and their hand luggage…the sad folks going home are dropped at a terminal to fetch their larger bags. We almost got off with them, but Larry and Monica saved us…we stayed on for another short jaunt and left the shuttle in search of a taxi to Carlisle Bay. What no one tells you is this: you cannot… as in …CANNOT! hire your own private taxi to take you 10 minutes down the road to the beach. No, you queue up ….and when there are 10 other people going “to the beach”… the van (taxi) leaves. Smushed together at sardine level density, we stop at three beaches to drop off passengers …oh did I mention no air conditioning? My patience almost gone…we arrive at Harbour Lights Beach Club…

…On November 13, I had made a reservation on the beach for two beach chairs and an umbrella in the “front row”……

…walking up to the entrance we saw this line…at least 30 people long…as we walked towards the line, I spied a single person to the left of the long line, I approached her and mentioned that we had a reservation…well from that moment on…everything was perfick♥️. We were walked trough a restaurant, past this shaded area …

…and minutes later we were in our lounges and all the irritation evaporated…please note, I’m the only one who was irritated…Tim’s middle name is “go with the flow”…

He soon made friends with the couple next to us… and I took off to walk the beach…

That’s him…Bob Uecker…

Life guards patrol the beach…

There is a very nice public park at one end of the beach…

A beach is the quickest way to happiness…

Folks heading out on a turtle tour…

We swam, had Mahi wraps with five different sauces…then swam some more…the water was perfick…warm, gentle current…heaven.

Around 2:00 the beach began to clear…we are grateful that Serenity’s all aboard was at 6:30… we lingered till almost 4:00pm…

…said good byes to the lovely staff…I wish I had a photo of Rasheed…he took the best care of us all day 🩵

🩷🩷🩷 Thank you all at Harbour Beach Club…highly recommend the experience…but do be sure to reserve your spot online.

Of course we waited to fill the taxi…but it was only 5 minutes in an air conditioned van…once again nested together like beach towels fighting for a patch of shade…whatever..it is what it is…and a small price to pay for a day at the beach😊

We met Bill in a near empty Cove at 7:15 pm…what a difference a day makes…trying to figure it out…did all our fellow Cove dwellers disembark? Or was it the passenger who repeatedly coughed into the air…no handkerchief nor spa towel on hand? We moved our seats twice.
What do you think of Timmy’s selfie? After two more attempts…we enlisted bar server Jelena…she used Bill’s phone.

John Arias brought us some Champagne to cheer the start of a new cruise. Can you name the Crystal celebrity in the background?

Timmy had an appetizer size portion of the calamari pasta…

I enjoyed it as my main 😊

Black Angus rib eye.

No show tonight…the swimming wiped us out. Another super day in the books.
Oh…10 points if you got the Bob Uecker reference. Thanks for following along 🩵🩵🩵
