I love waking up in Santo Domingo …this view is everything…feels like we are opposite the quintessential Caribbean island.

This view…right here …

.

As we were enjoying breakfast, the Dominican Republic navy began to parade down from the river…very cool, especially for my Navy guy.

.
.

Some time on the treadmill…then lunch.

.
.

Iced cappuccinos…

Our balcony was really warm..I found shade and a nice breeze on the aft deck…my new favorite place🩵

.

These sunsets from our balcony bring me such joy…

…this also brought me joy: for the first time in forever, I needed to use my little mini sewing kit…a button came off my blouse and in less than five minutes…it was back on.

.

We were listening to Ely, when friends stopped by…so we moved to a larger seating area…again the Cove was empty at 7:45… chatted for a bit and then headed up to Osteria for a great meal.

Smoked tuna carpaccio with caviar and beluga sauce…

Tim’s minestrone

.

Egg pasta with smoked butter.

.

Burrata ravioli with seafood.

Saffron risotto.

Jose wrapped up some bread for Timmy.

Kasia and Jose…a dream team.

The cheese was wonderful…but oh my goodness…that pear marmalade …just amazing.

Lexter brought us a sweet after dinner drink.

.

Tim’s fizzy lemon sorbet.

Pistachio gelato with toppings…six desserts in one.
Our Osteria dining experience was wonderful…every bite a delight.

Anytime we can escape New York in winter, we consider ourselves lucky …and to be sailing the Caribbean on this beautiful ship…beyond lucky. Thanks for following along 🩵
