We left the folks at the lovely Ava Hotel and arrived at the Cruise Ship Terminal shortly before noon. I always get a thrill when we first spy our ship. Crystal’s Serenity is a wonderful ship, we were looking forward to its recent refurbishment.

Embarkation  was already underway and a total breeze.

We were onboard and eating lunch within a half hour. Tim enjoyed a French Dip sandwich and an absolutely enormous peach Melba dessert.

My Cobb salad was yummy. I had some of Tim’s whipped cream…well most of it.

Our cabin was ready after lunch.

Sail away coincided with sunset.

Scott Mitchel is a delightful man and a marvelous piano player.

We stopped by the Cove for drinks before dinner and Tim inquired about the possibility of a Port Tonic. Marton, the bartender said they didn’t have white Port on the ship. No worries, he joined me in a Lush Champagne cocktail.

Shortly after ordering dinner, Marton came and found us in the dining room, he’d located white Port! This is what we love about Crystal folks, their kindness and willingness to go above and beyond.

We were delighted to discover that Jon Arias, one of our favorite Crystal folks was on board. He is a wonderful sommelier.

Tim was still stuffed from lunch so he had the beef consommé and bread.I began with the Ahi Tuna and sticking with the fish theme enjoyed olive crusted salmon salad…beyond delicious.

We asked to be seated in Augosto’s section…he’s our absolute favorite and always welcomes us so warmly.

The show Crystal in Motion was spectacular.
