Cartagena, Colombia December 14, 2025

We opened the drapes to a blistering sun and a huuuuuge Royal Caribbean ship right on top of us…

.

Today is turnaround day …about 200 passengers leaving and slightly less arriving…the balcony cushions are in the cabin because the balconies are pressure washed every turnaround day.

Breakfast then I headed to the gym…where the starboard view was way more interesting.

.

Yummy lunch in Marketplace …the lunch crew is in perpetual motion…clearing tables, resetting tables, assisting guests, fetching drinks…I wish I could take photos…but they do not have even 30 seconds to spare…

After lunch I spent a wonderful two hours in the Spa. I enjoyed the Biotech Face Treatment and Body Ritual. This is my favorite spa treatment, and I try to book it on every cruise…on both ships. I must say, today’s experience was beyond extra. My therapist was Tinofarra…she was excellent…professional and soothing. Highly recommended her.

Meanwhile Timmy was in the Cove…first Gabriel…

…then Dan Davies. Both photo and video courtesy of Timmy.

Shortly after sunset the beast next door left…

.

Hopefully we won’t have a neighbor tomorrow…yes, we are here in Cartagena overnight.

.

These were the “cocktails of the day”…Bogata Cosmopolitans…Dark rum, Lime juice, simple syrup…Simple, tangy and very smooth 🩵

.

Shrimp Ceviche …

Lobster bisque with tarragon …

Appetizer portion of angel hair and garlic

Halibut

Timmy chose the pasta as his main.

First time we’ve ever seen bbq baked beans on the menu…so of course Timmy ordered them …IYKYK

.

We turned this turnaround day into a delightful sea day…thanks for following along 🩵
