We woke as we were sailing into port.

That mist over the mountains and the port…just beautiful…these pics really do not capture the experience. We are docked downtown …so no shuttle busses. Yay.

I heard Timmy taking my photo…I said “hey, give me that camera and pose like a movie star” then I said “can you please take another pic of me…this time I’ll be ready” Now I can’t decide which photo of me I like better…so here’s both.

We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony watching folks head off on excursions. Tim popped up to Marketplace to say goodbye to Chef Marcin, who is heading home to Poland…along the way he met up with Alonso..a lovely waiter from Mexico, who we haven’t seen in a while. We also said goodbye to our temporary butler, Bosco who is also leaving on vacation.

On our way to Late Risers breakfast, we popped out onto the pool deck …it’s a stunning day.

.

I parked Timmy on a bench in the Cove and set off to explore …on my way out of town I came upon a house with lots of gnomes out front…kind of like the homes in Iceland with fairies.

.

I saw a path to a river walk..so I took it and it afforded some cool vantage points for photos.

.

Along the way I spotted two signs that give me hope. #mypeople

I really enjoyed my walk in the trees…there might have been a few more people than I expected to see…so I continued my walk along the waterfront.

Back on board, I found Timmy where I left him and we stopped back in our room. I called the butler number to make a request. As I’m talking to the butler on duty, he says “Mrs. Buckley? this is Fernando” Fernando! Fernando! I was so happy to hear his voice and as we were talking the doorbell rings..I say to Fernando “sorry I have to go, someone’s at the door” I open the door…and it’s Fernando! He was talking to me on his mobile phone when I opened the door. Anyway…we had a great reunion, I snapped his photo with Tim and we set off to lunch on the back deck of Marketplace.

.

The weather was perfick so we lingered over lunch…and then lingered over dessert…I had a few strawberries with my whipped cream. Timmy had a berry tart with some melon…I’m pretty sure I won at dessert today. Is it really a competition though? While relaxing we spotted some whales and one eagle. So a really, really perfick lunch.

.

After lunch I was going to read on our balcony…but the noise from the port was too distracting, so I decamped to the aft of deck 10…had it all to my self. So lovely. Beautiful. Peaceful. Quiet. I loved watching the seaplanes take off and land.

.

Milind, veteran Crystal butler…whom we love so much, brought us cheese and crackers to enjoy during a lovely sail away.

Dinner in Waterside was super, my swordfish – delicious and Timmy loved his lamb chops and his beehive dessert tasted as yummy as it looks.

We have seen Icons in Concert many times…we went because we never want to miss Alexandre Pivot on guitar. After the show – cruise director Vicki Van Tassel was entertaining as ever.

Finished up the evening in the Saloon with Dan Davies on piano. The last pic was taken at 11:26 pm upon returning to our room. The sky was stunning…and much bluer that it appears in the photo. Thanks for following along 🩵
