Some rain and clouds in the early morning, so we enjoyed breakfast in our room.
At noon we made our way to the Vintage Room for a fantastic Italian lunch, hosted by head sommelier Boris Aletic.
Shrimp Carpaccio with caviar…the plating was so beautiful, I almost didn’t want to eat it. Almost.

The Veal Scallopini rolls …stuffed with prosciutto, cheese & mushrooms – while not quite a total miss- it was a bit rich for me…Timmy loved them. The wines were wonderful…I really loved the Brunello…Sangiovese grapes are my favorite reds.

Boris was a wonderful host – full of knowledge and charm – we totally enjoyed ourselves and the lovely company around the table.
Completely sated, we napped until it was time to meet Pam and Tom in the Palm Court for the Captain’s reception.
Formal evenings are always special- I love seeing folks dressed so beautifully. The reception was very well attended and we were fortunate to find seating tucked in a back corner…however our distance from the front prevented me from capturing photos of the three ladies who were honored for 50, 75 and 100 cruises. “Crystal Royalty”
Timmy did manage to zoom in on Lexter receiving “Employee of the Month” recognition.
Somehow I failed to take photos of any of us…what is wrong with me? My only possible excuse? We were having so much fun…talking non-stop…like really non-stop…like Mynah birds…anyway, we eventually made our way to dinner…

That’s right…Timmy was still digesting lunch…he did have the oxtail broth while the three of us enjoyed our mains…And we both passed on dessert -as you might expect ♥️
I wish I could convey just how happy we both are to be sailing with Pamela and Tom…two of the best humans on the planet ♥️
