Opening the slider we were presented with this view.

.
.

The climate is perfick …gentle breeze, low 80s…

.

I read on the balcony until Rex brought our breakfast…

.

This “protein bread” is everything…couldn’t decide between blackberry jam and orange marmalade…

That’s Timmy… I spotted him as I walked off the ship toward the “floating bridge”…headed into Willemstad…the Queen Emma bridge opened in 1888…(hard to believe)…it’s a floating pontoon bridge…the longest in the world.

It was a windy day…so walking across was “sporty”…as we swayed along😊

I stopped on the bridge and snapped a few (hundred) pics …

.
.
.

As I walked off the bridge, I heard a band playing “My Girl” by The Temptations …IYKYK…I began to video my surroundings as I walked towards the sound of “our song” …it really is a cool video; the vocalist is terrific…but I’ve spent way too much time trying to upload it here…I shortened it, made the file small…all the usual tricks…I have concluded that the ship’s Wi-Fi is too weak today…or too stressed or something…anyway it’s a cool video and I will try again later… below is a snap of the singer.

Such a wonderful authentic voice🩵

.

I set my Google map to find the floating market…

.
.

When I get ahead of my skis and think about making travel plans more than 18 months in advance…I remind myself that at this stage in life, we really shouldn’t be buying green bananas…and yet here they are…maybe a sign to go ahead and book a cruise or two in 2027…

.
.
.

This is the back side view of the market…

.

I decided to get away from the touristy part of the town…found a lovely path along the river…I guess it’s a river…might be a canal…

This young entrepreneur had several cars lined up…not sure if he’s just washing, or if he also provides detailing.

.

My walk was lovely and peaceful.

This little guy stopped singing as I approached him…then he froze…

.
.
.

After about 40 minutes, I took a spin around the colorful streets…avoiding the shops…enjoying the alleys and art…

As I approached the bridge to return to Serenity, I realized this magnificent navy ship was passing down the river, and the floating bridge was no longer available to walk across…a security guard confirmed that the ship is part of the Curaçao Navy…probably setting out to sea to deter trump from invading this beautiful country.

.
.

Here’s the floating bridge as it made its way back to my side of the city.

In addition to the bridge, I spotted alternate ways to cross from one side to the other…more than one ferry.

As I approached Serenity, I was happy to note that some important provisions were being replenished.

.

Back on board I fetched Tim and we enjoyed lunch in Beef Bar. I’d had my heart set on the Iconic pizza, but when Aldo mentioned a new menu item, I threw caution to the wind and decided to try this tuna with avocado and peanuts…so yummy♥️

Yep, that’s me with a peanut between the chopsticks… Tim insisted on memorializing this incredible feat…I really have evolved …

.
.

Our view from Beef Bar provided non stop entertainment.

.
.
.

Back on our balcony, I rested…Timmy napped.

Another day in the books, thanks for following along 🩵🩵🩵
