We said goodbye to Symphony after breakfast in our room. We disembarked around 9:00 am and boarded one of the Crystal provided busses to the Venice maritime terminal. The ride was marred by the continued violent coughing and sniffling of a passenger just two seats in front of us. After about five minutes, both Timmy and I put our masks on. Person by person, everyone in our immediate vicinity also donned masks. Sadly, the obviously ill person did not have the common courtesy to put on a mask. His coughing continued non stop for the duration of our 20 minute ride. So. Freaking. Wrong. …on every level.

Symphony as we pulled away.
Our very last look ♥️
I snapped this photo as we passed the shipyard where both ships were rehabbed. IYKYK♥️
We fetched our luggage from the terminal and met up with the Cipriani representative who introduced us to our driver. Imagine Tim’s delight when he saw that our car was a gull wing Tesla.
So it’s literally a five minute drive from the terminal to the dock where we boarded our boat for the ride to the hotel. Here we are pulling away.
Timmy opted to ride inside…away from the strong sun.
I hung out in the back of the boat, snapping photos.
Of course I did.
Everything in Venice happens on a boat…even trash pickup. The trash boats have distinctive green stripes.
So much happiness.
We made our way through some very pretty neighborhoods.

Probably won’t be the last pic of St. Marks.
Crossing the lagoon only takes about five minutes.
The approach to Cipriani Hotel♥️
Very happy to see Andrea. We received such a warm “welcome back!” …made my heart smile.
Sitting in the reception office as we checked in.
As our room wasn’t ready, we were escorted to the terrace outside Bar Gabbiano…it’s adjacent to the pool. Gian Franco brought us complimentary cappuccinos and pastries. Because lord knows we hadn’t had nearly enough pastries on the ship.
We barely made a dent in the pastries when we were whisked off to our suite.

Such a beautiful suite. When choosing our room, I was torn between being right over the lagoon again and having a large outside space. So happy we opted for the terrace.

Timmy headed straight for the fruit and Prosecco.
I headed straight for the terrace… validating my decision ♥️
So although we weren’t right on the lagoon…we did have a view of the lagoon …it’s beyond the pool.

We decided to take the day and relax at the hotel. Since this was our fourth visit to Venice, we wanted to take the opportunity to really enjoy the property.

The room is quite lovely and very fragrant…flowers from the amazing Rose garden are abundant throughout the hotel…including multiple bouquets in our room.
The tea and coffee station sits atop a well stocked refrigerator.
Heated floors and towel racks♥️
Lovely amenities and a rose on the tub♥️
Please note the art on the wall.
If you remember my story about the safe from the first visit…you won’t be surprised to note that I made sure Gloria identified the hiding spot in this room. It really must be a Cipriani thing? Maybe. I should have asked.
Beyond fragrant.
So I was out on our terrace-catching up on my reading – and I looked up and snapped this photo…to remind myself just how lucky we are♥️
…meanwhile back in the room…
Room service lunch.

The lagoon changed color as the afternoon progressed.
Timmy joined me after his nap.
Because you can’t have too many photos of the same thing.

Staying on the property..we dined at Cip’s Club and scored a table directly on the lagoon…such an amazing view♥️

Best Bellinis evah!
The Instagram pic.
Fair warning…I took lots of photos of this view…
Delicious risotto to start.
I did give fair warning…
Fried langoustines and squid for Timmy.
Grilled langoustines and grilled vegetables.
How it started…
How it ended♥️
…one last pic…
Lemoncello sherbet.
Some sort of chocolate deliciousness.
And, yes, after you finish dessert..you are brought cookies with your coffee…can’t refuse…don’t want to appear rude.
Snapped this photo at 10:45 as we were leaving…
Walk through back to the hotel.

Just as I did most evenings on Symphony, I made a cup of tea when we returned to the room.
All in all a wonderful relaxing day …thanks for following along. ♥️
