We began our visit  to Mallorca as we do most days with breakfast of coffee, an English muffin and yogurt.

We awoke to sunny skies and this view from our balcony.

Crystal’s shuttle bus brought us to the outskirts of Palma, across from the stunning Palma Cathedral.

After taking some pics, Tim located the Hop On Hop Off  bus stop. Who says men won’t use maps?

The bus tour itself was not memorable, however we hopped off at Bellver Castle and spent about an hour and a half enjoying the view and the castle.

Climbing up the turrets I had the best views of…Tim taking pics of me!

This castle was well protected standing atop an enormous peak above the city. In addition it has two moats. The interior houses a museum featuring artifacts dating back to the Romans.

Here’s a view of the interior columns.

The stairways were surprisingly wide.

Some pics from the museum.

A hermaphrodite.

That’s our Crystal Serenity in the distance

The scale of the doors and walls come into perspective when Timmy stands near.

Family crests

Oh yes, there were a few stairs.

Back on the HOHO bus we passed by Palma’s version of La Rambla and some cool windmills.

Returning to the ship we headed to Marketplace for pizza and a salad. But first Timmy spotted our friends Marty, Dana and Steven, and we had a wonderful reunion. As we were finishing up our lunch, a lovely couple stopped by to say hello…they recognized Tim from this blog😊.

Here’s a pic of the Cathedral from the ship

We enjoyed another magic show, Timmy took a nap and I headed to a near empty gym.

Refreshed we paid a visit to Marton in the Palm Court. (It was empty at 8:00 p.m.)

Here he is searching for the white Port.

Port Tonic in hand we headed to the Cove and met up with Gil and Arlene who we joined for dinner.

These appetizers were so yummy.

Here’s my Venison…perhaps the best entree that I’ve had on this trip.

Our adorable waiter Stephan with the dessert menu

I was so engaged in our wonderful conversation with Arlene and Gill  that I failed to take more pics, save for this one of Tim’s dessert.
