October 7,2025 Cadiz, Spain
We woke early and found ourselves in the midst of a very active industrial port.

We took our coffee out to the balcony and spent some time mesmerized by the activity. I honestly could have spent all morning watching the workers move the containers.

We carbed up in Trident, then caught an early shuttle to the beautiful town of Cádiz.

Off the shuttle we found a bench to orient ourselves…GPS is a beautiful thing…
I took this pic of Timmy and he said “Sweetheart, go stand over there”…

…so I did.

This is our first visit to Cadiz and we found the town to be charming and very, very cool.

Hands down …the best street performers on this trip. So cool, so quirky…

We strolled the streets, taking in the vibe.

This musician, right here…oh my goodness…one minute he was sitting and strumming …next minute…full out AC/DC…beyond wonderful.

We set off in search of two things…the Cathedral de Cadiz and the Roman Ruins…

Here’s the line to enter the Cathedral. …on the left. Too long for me…maybe next visit.

Can you spot Timmy? Now you know why I prefer that he wear this bright “touring” shirt.

First selfie of the day. Then we set off in search of the Roman ruins…according to the GPS, it was right around the corner.

So we walked and walked…

…and walked…

…walked on these really cool streets…

…took a break in a quiet little church…

As we were leaving Timmy said “Who’s buried there?” No one…according to the sign, they are raising money to purchase a relic of some saint. Anyway, back to our search for the ruins…

…still searching …GPS says we’ve walked past them several times…what the actual heck????

Finally I showed my GPS to a man standing in a doorway and asked him if could point us in the right direction…he didn’t speak English but pointed to a huge closed door and indicated that the ruins were not open. I was so disappointed but thanked him for the information. He felt my disappointment and tapped my shoulder and told us to follow him…he took us around the corner and pointed down this alley…

…and there they were!

We looked through the bars and saw the amphitheater…I took these photos …then we went looking for the kind man to thank him.

I asked him to take a photo with Tim…then he indicated that I should also have a photo with him …

Such a nice man…made my day🩵

Mission accomplished…we continued exploring.

Tim: “Sweetheart, you really can’t go in there” Me: “I just want to check it out”

We walked along a major street admiring the store fronts.

Eventually we stopped for some people watching

I love that we were offered olives with our drinks.

Second selfie of the day.

As we were relaxing we heard a commotion and looked up to see this procession …

…no clue…locals barely glanced up…visitors joined me in snapping photos…

I tried to ask our server, but she couldn’t understand me…

Procession over, we moved on.

Back on board…Marketplace was open late…I guess to accommodate late returning tours.
I love that Chef Marcin is such a visible presence at lunch time…supervising and greeting passengers. We love him.

…and of course we love Headwaiter Santana 🩵

Found some shade on the pool deck and read for a while.

The Cove was packed at 7:00 pm…so we moved to the seating in front of reception…Richard and Joe joined us …here we are waiting for our cocktails. I’m looking forward to enjoying the expanded Cove seating after dry dock. It is much needed.

Okay, so it’s another White Party night…and here we are at Osteria…of course we are🩵

Ranjeith just returned from vacation…so happy to see him and catch up.

Elio helping me attach my napkin to the napkin clips.

The lovely Alexandra…imagine my delight when Andrei told us they’ve been married for 12 years🩵

We noticed Barbara and Naomi entering the restaurant and asked them to join us…the day just keeps getting better😊
