Bright sunshine woke me around 7:00 am. I closed the curtain between the sitting area and bed…Timmy slept away😊

.

Too cold on the balcony…but I swung my chair and footstool to enjoy the view…I’m trying to finish my book before the Libby App reclaims it. Pro tip…request a kettle …boils the water instantly and quietly.
Pro tip number two…finish your book before you embark on a port intensive cruise.

That’s my tech guy rebooting the TV…He’s a keeper…oh and here’s the first pic from our balcony…so happy to see blue sky.

So I was trying to get a photo of the US flag

Milli assisted Timmy with his red white and blue muffin…look closely. Jiri is running Beef Bar this cruise and after breakfast we popped down to Bistro for cappuccino and a chat with Anton.

Meanwhile… I checked out Palm Court…lots of activity…crew preparing for the celebration and guests claiming their spots for glacier viewing.

I ran into Dr. Soto with his baby…which delighted me so much…not just because the child is beyond adorable, but because it mean’s Hannaka is on board. Hannaka was a very special server in Umi Uma.

.
We had a perfect spot at the Palm Court bar…we could enjoy the band, enjoy lunch…sliders and lobster rolls…there were other options including wings and I think baked beans…but we were all about the lobster and sliders.

.

.

Hannaka and Timmy…a most happy reunion.
.

.
The Showband was spectacular as always

.

As we sailed towards Hubbard glacier…I would periodically pop up and out to deck 12 and snap photos…if you are new to this blog…I have a confession…I take waaaay too many photos…and I love every single one of them…kind of like the way some folks love their cats…when it comes time to create a new blog post, I spend so much time culling the pics…so I usually just end up sharing them all…feel free to scroll quickly by the redundancy.

Tommy Hedekar provided expert commentary as we sailed along.

It was pretty chilly at the bow…actually it was really cold…like very cold.

Those are little chunks of the glacier floating by.

I snapped these pics over the course of two hours…at least 9000 photos

.

Every once in a while, I’d pop back in to check on Timmy…he was fine.

At some point, Tim suggested we decamp to deck 10 aft…we grabbed coffee, a blanket and had a perfect viewing spot as we sailed away from the glacier #sofreakinglucky.

Through the rails from my lounger…then I stood up for a different shot. That’s an Azamara ship off to the left.

I was taking taking this selfie…and as sometimes happens…a kind person passing between decks offered to take a better photo:

So much better…not as close…the wrinkles are slightly less pronounced.

As we left the glacier …beautiful skies followed us all afternoon.

After an hour or so, it became too chilly outside…

I made a snack run to the Bistro…we enjoyed a glass of The Ned…then eventually got ready for dinner.

.

Leandro on the piano…such a treat…Timmy had a Virgin Ceasar. He loved it.

.
Consommé, escargot and venison for Timmy…that venison was like butter…beyond tender.

My turkey salad was delicious…and I really loved the strawberry yogurt…Timmy had two pieces of gouda and 3 cranberries and a smear of apricot jam. #sofancy

We stopped by the evening show in the Galaxy Lounge. It wasn’t quite our style, but it’s always nice to see the variety of entertainment. A nightcap with Dan in the Avenue…and then we were off to sweet dreams. Thanks for following along. ♥️💙♥️
