We woke to the sounds of the tender boats being lowered below us.
Andrei set us up with coffee and pastries. Andrei is a most wonderful butler. He’s kind and funny and very professional. We are so lucky to have him taking the very best care of us.
It makes me so happy to open our cabin door every morning to Andrei’s smiling face. He is a true Crystal treasure.

After breakfast, I hopped on the tender and set off to check out the Praia de Rocha and the Portimao Fishing Museum.

So yes, the shuttle busses were 7 seater Mercedes Benzes..
I found Praia de Rocha and also Symphony in the distance
The beach is really beautiful and if we ever return to Portimao…I’d plan on spending a few hours here.
The beachfront is dotted with small cafes and the town has a main drag directly on the beach…more restaurants, hotels and typical beach town shops.
After a brief walk along the beach…I set off for the museum…about 1.5 miles away.
The walk included a roundabout that was a bit of a challenge to cross and one steepish hill.
Finally I arrived at the port where the museum is located.
My GPS was pointing one direction but this sign says otherwise…I followed the sign down the street…
…and finally, finally found the museum…
Hello? It’s Monday!
Whatever. I shook off my disappointment and walked along the riverbank.

The walk back to the shuttle seemed to take twice as long…but I did find a crosswalk at the roundabout…so there’s that.

Back on board, I grabbed Timmy and we made it to Beef Bar for lunch.
Caesar salad, tacos and pizza…beyond yummy.
Oh and we hit up the gelato bar too 😍
I rested at the pool for a while.
It was a two Caesar salad day.
I really do hope this yogurt is in fact low fat…it just tastes too good to be true.
Timmy loves pears…so whenever they are on the menu…
Portimao is a very cool beach town…here are my takeaways: If we visit on a day other than Monday, I’ll take a taxi to the museum…or we’ll just chill at the beach. Thanks for following along 🩵
