September 25,2005 Crystal Symphony in Barcelona
We woke, enjoyed a last breakfast at Seventy hotel and left for the cruise ship terminal at 10:30. Twenty minutes later we spied Symphony.

Dropping off our bags was seamless and we chilled out in the terminal until 11:40 when boarding began…again seamless.

That’s Tim from the front office giving last minute instructions to the port based checkin crew.

We enjoyed lunch in Marketplace, then relaxed on the pool deck until our room was ready…shortly after 2 pm

Another selfie…still searching for the Unicorn 😊

We unpacked, wandered around…as we are wont to do on embarkation day…and then headed to the Cove for a cocktail before dinner.

Nilo shaking my Lemon Drop martini.

We dined in Beef Bar in order to avoid the first night liveliness in Waterside.

I could make a meal out of the Bao Buns…beyond yummy…the Sliders are also quite good.

We can never have too many photos of Mili…she exemplifies Crystal’s excellence.

Mili recommended the Bavette steak…new to the menu…only served in the Mediterranean…it was so tender, with a deep, beefy flavor. We loved it. I wish I had a photo of the presentation…it was beautiful.

The gelato is sinful…love the toppings, especially the pistachios and almonds. It’s melted because we were talking too much.

Stopped to thank Chef Marcin on the way out…asked for a photo with his team…

I liked the candid pic better…where he’s wrangling his crew to set up the photo🩵

Beefbar’s bar

Back to the room for Timmy to change his shirt and take the first mirror selfie of the Voyage.

Picked up a refreshment at the Cove and Gordon played “Wonderful Tonight” for us…then we were off to the show…

”Crystal in Motion” …we love it…although we’ve seen it many times…it never gets old…

James and Gemma

Inga Marcel is a lovely violinist

Alexandre is a favorite of ours…so happy to see him on board

As great as the evening was…this young woman right here …Anna Alonso … was the absolute highlight. Anna’s voice is a powerhouse…can’t wait to experience her showmanship during the White Night festivities. #weloveanna

Leaving the show, we headed over to the Avenue Saloon to see what Dan Davies was up to. Well, he was up to some wonderful songs and some great sing a longs. The packed house was definitely in a festive mood. We had a great time.

Since it’d been all of 3 hours since dinner, we couldn’t say no to the yummy pizza…

Or the yummy cookies
Our first day back exceeded any expectations that we might have had…catching up with all the wonderful crew, who greeted us so warmly, was a highlight. The ship is beautiful as ever and we really do feel like we are home. Thanks for following along🩵
