September 24,2025 Barcelona
We slept until 10:00 am…what are we? Babies???
Anyway, it was as if we were drugged…still dealing with the jet lag. We made it to breakfast…then back to the room.

I read a bit on the terrace…I guess I mentioned that I try to book hotel rooms with outdoor space. This space is super. After a while, I laced up and took off for the Plaza Catalonia. Initially I walked briskly, then I slowed down and began to be really present with my surroundings.

First photo on my walk…my favorites …croissants.

Such a glorious day. Perfick temp…no humidity.

Almost as ubiquitous as taxis…the Red Hop On busses.

This young man was playing so beautifully.

Live broadcast from Plaza Catalonia.

Tons of pigeons in the plaza.

After I left the Plaza, I headed to La Sagrada Familia…

As I was walking past this church, I heard the organ and popped in.

I snapped this cool looking tree for Timmy…he says it’s some kind of Sycamore.

So I was waiting for the light to change and saw my reflection in this storefront …I took the selfie and then later said to myself…why did I take this photo?

Then I expanded the photo and voila!

I followed behind this father and son as they passed a soccer ball between themselves…all the way down the block.

In 2015 our guide, Francisco, told us that the expected completion date for La Sagrada Familia was 2023…here we are 2025…still under construction, but the new completion date is early 2026.

Each year there appear to be less cranes…so that’s something…I guess.

The pink frames in the back caught my eye.

So I walked for 1hour and 40 minutes in an almost perfect square.I showed Timmy this snap of my walk and he was incredulous…”only 300 calories burned in 4 miles! That’s crazy” …Hello? Timmy? Welcome to my world. ♥️

After checking in with Timmy, I headed for the pool. Such a perfick way to end the day. The roof top space is super…plenty of shade and sun.

We dined at the hotel again, because we had such a wonderful experience on our first night. We had the pumpkin hummus again, I had the creamy rice with shrimp and octopus…Timmy choose Iberian pork with french fries. Everything was really yummy.

We loved our stay at Seventy Hotel. The room was great…especially the terrace, the pool was super and staff …beyond accommodating. We are ready for the next part of this trip…can’t wait to join Symphony and catch up with the wonderful crew.
